Add a Website to the Block List
Use custom filters to stop access to any site on iPhone and iPad.
1) Open MindGuard
Install and launch MindGuard on your child’s device.
2) Go to “Custom URLs”
Tap the Custom URLs section on the main screen.
3) Add a domain or URL
Enter a domain like example.com,
or a subdomain such as videos.example.com.
MindGuard will automatically block that address and everything underneath it once you save.
4) Test the block
Open Safari or the app that loads the site to confirm it’s blocked.
Tips for Effective Website Blocking
Cover subdomains, embeds, and CDNs for thorough protection.
Cover subdomains
Blocking example.com usually covers www.example.com and common subdomains. If a subdomain still loads, add it explicitly.
Block embeds
If a site loads videos from another host, add that CDN (e.g., cdn.examplevideo.com).
Prioritize the big risks
Start with the sites that matter most, then add niche domains as needed.
